I am uncertain as to the actual date and time this photograph was taken.  But I do know that it was taken on a weekend, presumably a Saturday, during the month of December, in 1987.  I thought that this picture, looking down Rizal Avenue in Olongapo City, effectively captured all that is the Philippines to me.  Foggy day in a rain forest town, jeepney's running through town in disarray, just like every other day.

This photograph was taken the day before I graduated from Navy bootcamp on August 13th, 1986.  I carried the infantry flag for company C142.
